Email forwarding for events

When you are promoting an event you often want to give a specific email address for enquiries and so on.  Putting a long email address such as julietbrowne749@btinternet.com isn't professional or memorable, much better to use concert@myclub.org.uk, rally@myclub.org.uk or ciderfest@myclub.org.uk

You set the email forwarding system to forward emails to the personal address of the individual responsible (eg julietbrowne749@btinternet.com), if Juliet should win the lottery and head for the Seychelles you can simply redirect the emails to someone else in the club without reprinting the poster or advertisement.

Setting up a generic account such as cidefest@ is very easy.

In this example club member Harry Masters is going to receive any enquiries sent to ciderfest@myclub.org.uk

Any advertising for the CiderFest can now state Enquiries to ciderfest@myclub.org.uk

If Harry should go on holiday for a fortnight simply move the word ciderfest to Harry's deputy, in this case James Grieve.

Generic email addresses example 2

When Harry returns simply move ciderfest back to Harry Masters.

If Harry likes to keep a watch on the questions asked while he is away you can leave ciderfest next to his name as well:
